Arena: Guide & Rewards
Overview
MegaBanX Arena is a real-time trading competition built directly into the MegaBanX perpetuals platform. You join an arena, pay a fixed entry fee, trade during the match window, and compete against other players based on your trading performance during that arena.
The arena runs on the same platform and wallet you already use for perpetual trading, so there is no separate trading environment to learn.
How Arena Works
Each arena is a time-based competition with its own configuration:
Fixed duration: The length of the match.
Fixed entry fee: The cost to enter the competition (goes to the prize pool).
Player count: A minimum and maximum player count.
Arenas can be created by users. The creator chooses the entry fee and duration when creating the arena. Available markets are the same markets available on the MegaBanX perpetuals platform.
Once the arena starts, all joined players are tracked in real time. Your performance during the arena determines your position on the board and your final rank when the timer ends.
Player Journey
1. Browse available arenas
From the Arena lobby, you can view all available competitions and compare:
Entry fee
Duration
Current player count
2. Join an arena
To enter, connect your wallet and pay the entry fee required. Important:
You must have no open positions on the perpetuals platform before joining. If you have an open position, you must close it before joining an arena.
Once you join, your entry is locked for that match.
3. Wait for the start
After joining, you remain in the lobby until the match starts. If the Min Players requirement is not met, the arena is cancelled and your fee is refunded.
4. Trade during the match
When the arena is Active, your trading performance is tracked in real time. You can open positions (Long or Short) with any leverage you choose. Your final ranking depends on the PnL generated by the position or positions you open during that arena.
5. View final results
When the timer ends, the arena is finalized, rankings are locked, and the final results become available.
6. Claim your reward
If you finish in a reward-eligible position, you can claim your reward (ETH + Bonus Tokens) directly on-chain.
Arena States
Every arena passes through four states:
Pending: The arena is open for new players to join.
Active: The match is live. Trading performance is tracked in real time.
Finished: The timer has ended. Results are final and rewards are available.
Settled: Rewards have been claimed and the arena is archived.
How Performance Is Measured
Arena performance is based on the change in your account equity during the match window. MegaBanX measures the change in your account equity during the match and excludes external balance changes such as deposits and withdrawals.
Core Calculation Formula:
Why this matters:
This prevents users from gaining an unfair advantage from:
Profits generated before the arena started.
Deposits made during the arena.
Complex fee movements such as funding or borrowing fees.
What counts as equity:
Equity includes your wallet balance plus unrealized PnL from all open positions. This means the system can account for multiple markets at once and ongoing unrealized profit or loss during the match.
Live Arena View
During an active match, the interface shows all players in real time. The visual board represents each player’s performance relative to the arena:
Vertical Movement: Profitable players move upward; losing players move downward.
Visual Feedback: The board updates continuously while the match is live.
Transparency: You can see your own performance, other players' positions, and the live countdown timer.
Ranking and Scoring
Players are ranked purely based on their final arena PnL at the moment the match ends.
Final Result Priority: There is no bonus for spending more time in 1st place or "momentum multipliers." Only the final snapshot at the end determines the winner.
Example: If Player A is at +100% and Player B is at +90%, Player A is ahead. If Player B moves to +101% in the final second, Player B finishes ahead and wins.
🛡️ Fairness: Anti-Dust Gaming
To prevent users from manipulating the leaderboard with tiny "dust" accounts (e.g., trading $1 to get a high % ROI), a Minimum Collateral Threshold ($50) is enforced:
You must have at least $50 in total collateral for your ROI/PnL to be ranked.
If your total collateral is below $50, your ROI will be treated as 0% for ranking purposes.
Rewards
Each arena has a prize pool funded by the total entry fees collected from all participants.
Prize Pool Formula
Reward Distribution
Rewards are distributed to the top 3 performers who finished with a positive profit:

Note: If no one finishes in profit, everyone receives a full refund of their entry fee.
Bonus Tokens
The Top 1 Winner (highest ROI/PnL) takes the entire Bonus Token pool allocated to that arena.
Reward Claiming
Reward claiming is fully on-chain. Eligible winners can claim their rewards directly via the smart contract.
Important:
No Time Limit: Winners can claim at any later time; results are frozen at match end.
Verified Results: Claim eligibility is determined solely by the final locked arena ranking.
Refunds: In cases of arena cancellation (e.g., Min Players not met), entry fees are 100% refundable via the "Claim" button.
Entry Fees and Risk
Commitment: Joining is a commitment; entry fees are locked for the duration.
Performance Based: Rewards are not guaranteed; they depend on market conditions and your decisions.
Real Trading: Arena is a competitive feature built on top of real trading, not a simulation.
